My husband, Francis, and I were trying to heave a baby ever since we got married last February 2007. We were trying for 8 months and I could not get pregnant. I had a miscarriage during that time. I went to several fertility doctors to find our what was wrong with me. I had myself worked up for 3 months, trying fertility pills and intre-uterine insemination. It was all unsuccessful. I had some blood tests and the doctors found our that my immune system was too active that it was rejecting any foreign matter inside me. So if fertilization does take place, my blood will attack and reject, so I could not conceive.<\/p>\n

My dad, Ton, accompanied me to the chapel of Padre Pio so I could ask for his intercession. As soon as we arrived, we both prated to Padre Pio. As we were about to leave, my dad saw the owner, Mr. Ramon Rodriguez. He introduced himself as Mr. Rodriguez and told him about my situation. Mr. Rodriguez started talking about how he became a believer of Padre Pio. While they were talking, he told me to keep on praying to Padre Pio. He got the glove from the altar and told me to put it on my stomach while they were conversing.<\/p>\n

A few weeks later, I missed my period. I took home a pregnancy test, but wasn\u2019t expecting anything because I didn\u2019t want to get my hopes up. I got so surprised that I tested positive. I told my husband and we were both so happy. My pregnancy was s difficult one. I had a condition that\u2019s called APAS, where by blood had to be monitored because it was susceptible to clotting which could affect the baby. I had to be on bed rest for almost 5 months. I was taking daily injections of heparin until I gave birth. I went through several intravenous immunoglobulin sessions (IVIG). Nevertheless, I continued praying the novena of Padre Pio all throughout the pregnancy. Although the shots were painful, the baby was developing well and was healthy the whole time. Finally, I gave birth to Jaime Pio last January 21, 2009. I gave birth a few weeks early and I had a CS procedure, but Jaime Pio turned out to be a normal and healthy baby boy.<\/p>\n

Jaime Pio is now 8 weeks old.<\/p>\n
