An Answered Prayer Through the Intercession of Papa Pio

Dear Devotees of St. Pio,

Our family would like to share with you an answered prayer that we have received from our merciful and loving God through the intercession of Papa Pio.

On October 2008, my father, Romy was confined at the Philippine Heart Center due to his sudden low blood count.  He had blood transfusion thinking that after he would be better already.  But then, his blood count continued to get low so he had to undergo a series of tests such endoscopy and CT Scan for us to know what is causing his low blood count.  It was then  that the doctor told us that my father has a mass in his stomach which needs to be removed in order to stop the blood loss of my dad.  My father had undergone an operation which removed two-thirds of his stomach including the mass.  The doctor told us that my father has “carcinoma” in his stomach.  We were all very shocked and anxious.   It was really a big trial in our family to accept this news since we do not want to our father to suffer and we do want to lose him.

My father has a strong faith in God so he was not disheartened by his illness but instead he became more prayerful and would devote his morning, afternoon and evening praying to God.  He did not want to undergo chemotherapy saying that it is poison and would only make him more ill than cure him.  As a family, we continue to pray and trust in the Lord inspite of my father’s condition.

On January 2, 2009, it was the first day that we visited the St. Pio of Pietrelcina Centre.     The place was very solemn and we can really feel the presence of the Lord.   Since then, we attend the regular Sunday mass at St. Pio praying for the complete healing of my father.  I believed that God has touched us and brought us to this place where we could find a restful place to dwell with Him and receive His healing grace.  It was a comforting feeling  that  God made us feel that He is with us through all the ordeal in life that we are experiencing.

On July 12, 2009, while waiting for the mass to start, we are really praying intently asking for God’s mercy for the upcoming Tumor Marker Exam that my daddy is scheduled to undergo on July 14, 2009 at the Philippine Heart Center.  Then, Sister approached us and asked us to offer during the Offertory.  I was very thankful to God because I believed that it is a sign that He is listening to us and He wants us to offer our prayer, the result of my father’s Tumor Marker, to His Mighty will.  We trusted in the Lord because we believe that He has a plan for all of us.  We always pray the prayer to St. Pio and the Efficacious Novena to the Sacred Heart of Jesus trusting the in the will of the Lord for my father’s complete healing from cancer.  On July 14, 2009, my father had his Tumor Marker Exam and he said that the result will be two days after.  On July 16, 2009, my father shared as the result of his exam, which is NORMAL!  My father does not have any tumor in his system!  We praise and thank you Lord for the answering our prayer through the intercession of St. Pio of Pietrelcina.  Thank you for the miraculous blessing and wonderful gift of complete healing to my father.
